Even made the news in Australia! Started by showing Jimmy Saville lined up with the rest of the wrinklies at the start. Then had clips of Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Madonna, Wham and the Spice girls. Obviously reflecting "class acts" across the decades.

Apparently, and I quote from a recent magazine article, TOTP is to be axed because "the technology-savvy kids of today are just too busy downloading Artic Monkeys music directly into their own brains or Bluetoothing the latest Christina track six months before her producers have even written it to bother with something as quaint and elephantine as a weekly chart show". Quite true I thought. Couldn't have expressed it better myself.
